... subject compliments father of bea, whose lovely daughter I had the privilege of telephonically borrowing last night, to the great relief of my (thread of) sanity. No matter how much shit I talk, that girl still gets me. *Deep bow to bea*
I'm down to having a new life's mission about every two weeks, and the same goes for where I think I might go come September. But at least I'm being constant at being inconstant and insane. :-)
Happy (belated) birthday to manticore7, who has disappeared off Mr. Radar (extra credit for getting the movie reference). Was housesitting again and thought of you.
Ran into cool Wellesley classmate of bella's (she was Figaro when you were the Countess, darling) on the street here- she's doing some Fringe stuff and Uni in Glasgow. Random but pretty interesting encounter, worlds colliding and all that.
Have started the dissertation. Thank fuck for that.

Spaceballs. Woo! A movie reference I actually know! And a darned good movie, too. What'd I win? What'd I win???
Speaking of life missions, I don't think I told you that I'm planning to
torture myselfgo back to school in the fall...assuming I get admitted and all that. No, I'm not quitting work - work will pay my tuition.July 17 2005, 09:58:08 UTC 6 years ago
Congrats on planning on going back to (the rack...I mean) school in the fall. Whatcha gonna do? Work paying is fantastic, sounds good all around.

A visit sounds great! There's actually an Amtrak station very close to here (although not as close as it was to me in Michigan - a 4-minute walk is hard to beat).
I'll be studying computer stuff - working towards a Masters in Management Information Systems. I'll then be able to say that I've got a MSI and an (M)MIS!

And what's the site you usually use to look for apartments, by the way? I'm going to need to do that from here. I fly back to the states on September 17th, and that's a bit late to start looking to move in anywhere right away.
You and your spiffy degrees- I'll have to start throwing a 'Dr.' in front of your name soon for fun. :-)

I tend to use Springstreet.com, realtor.com, rent.com, apartments.com, and possibly a few others. A couple of those might be the same site, too. Also try Craigslist. Rent.com will give you a gift card for $100 if you say you found your apartment through them.
And if possible, it's always best to have somebody you trust check out the place you're considering before you put any money down on it.

Um, do you still have my copy of 1610?
July 17 2005, 10:01:02 UTC 6 years ago
Yes, I do indeed still have 1610 *slaps forehead*. Will bring that marvelous tome when I swing by, if that's alright? I can't believe how long it's been, sheesh, shame on me.

Feel free to drop by anytime, though a call ahead would be appreciated (in case I'm actually out of the flat or something) ^_^

I thought it was Mash?!

It was manticore's birthday if I recall correctly, but as I think he may have ceased to exist, it doesn't matter that much, I suppose. ;-)

Especially since you always drink coffee when watching radar?
